PC4/BULLYING - SLOGAN TREE
As part of our project, we will discuss the issue of bullying this week. Teacher-parent brochures about bullying were sent to you before the presentations.(1) As teachers who have sufficient knowledge about the subject, we will organize a "Philosophy for Children / P4C" activity with our students.Content was produced using artificial intelligence tools regarding bullying. The content produced in accordance with the primary school age level was narrated and an e-book was prepared. Based on this content, teacher Fadime Banaz turned the story into a cartoon with artificial intelligence tools. Take a look at the content prepared in Turkish, Romanian and Italian.(2)Philosophy Session for Children/P4C
It is different from the usual classroom seating plan. A circle is created. It is important for children to see each other's faces. In the P4C session, first a stimulus with philosophical content, such as a story, video or picture, is shared with the group by the facilitator. Children think about the ideas in the stimulus, summarize the stimulus, create questions, and evaluate. The facilitator is usually the one who asks the first question. It gives children time to think and reason individually. The facilitator encourages children to think more deeply and philosophically and advances the discussion by encouraging the 4C of P4C, namely critical, creative, collaborative and attentive, with the questions they ask.The philosophical questions asked are open to examination, questioning and questioning. It is debatable, central and common, meaning there is more than one valid point of view.As questions become more philosophical and creative throughout the discussion, children learn to listen carefully to each other, respectfully explore differences of opinion, and value the opinions of others. At the end of the discussion, the discussion is concluded with a short assessment and evaluation based on the topic discussed.(Quoted from: https://dusuncelab.com/p4c/p4c-nasil-uygulanir/)
